Hamburg: Day 5

It's a little late but I just wanted to re-cap the last day that I spent in Hamburg as it was more of a sight-seeing day as work was light during the day there and the weather was perfect.

I enjoyed time in the shopping district for just a while longer, purchasing the more-than-I-wanted-to-pay-for dolls and last minute items like Christmas ornaments. From there I made my way to the harbor and enjoyed a couple of hours worth of model trains. They have this really cool multi-floored exhibit that is spectacular. Truly amazing.

I walked around quite a bit and took in the last few hours of the city. The lake was glimmering and the weather was perfect.

I must admit I felt quite apprehensive over having spent as much on souvenirs as I did. Took a huge chunk out of our budget. But it's also nice to look back at souvenirs and remember trips, whether personal or pleasure.

The final hours were spent getting ready for the long days journey back to the States. And long it was.
