Even the Downtrodden AIG Execs Need a Little Pampering, Right?

If you've just helped an already down spiraling economy to crack just a bit further, doesn't it make sense to pamper your self just a bit? I mean, come on, everyone makes mistakes? Granted, most don't cause tax payers $85B in bailout money just to your company. That being said, don't we all need a little pampering, some timeout moments, occasion to relax every now and then?

"Less than a week after the taxpayers rescued AIG, company executives could be found wining and dining at one of the most exclusive resorts in the nation," Henry Waxman (D-Calif.) said. "We will ask whether any of this makes sense." Makes sense? Of course it does. What executive should be denied the luxury of manicures, pedicures, massages and facials at a cost of nearly $450K of which the American people just paid directly to the bill?

Does anyone else see a real problem with this? Is it really all that frivolous?

(Please note my dripping sarcasm before you comment ;)

Btw, my yearly bonus (company wide policy) was just dropped. Glad my taxes will be helping these poor execs out.
