Renergized Over Weekend: Now Fighting Congestion

As I've been working quite a bit to meet some stiff product deadlines, it was nice to take 2 full days off of work (mostly) to regroup, prioritize and relax. I found myself spending time focusing on fulfilling my church duties, spending quality time with the kids (built some fun lego structures), exercising on Saturday (5K run, soccer practice and a 1.5 mile run with the U13B team) and I even got in a quick but much needed nap on Sunday. By the time I awoke this morning I was fully energized for the week and ready to conquer what's left of our team's load by week's end.

That being said, the weekend brought a nice chilly cold front and with it my first congestion period of the winter. Normally I'm battling a cold or flu by early December but the Lord has been good to me and I've staved off the weakening bacteria/viruses through our term of medical uninsured. With just a week left until we're covered, I'm sure I'll be fine but trying to focus while my head spins, my ears are clogged, my nose drains and my head throbs is quite a challenge. All the energy I capitalized on through the weekend seems to have rapidly wafted into the ozone and left me begging for another break.

Other than good exercise, complimentary diet and prayer, anyone got a good cure for the common congestion? Leave your suggestions in the comment section of this blog (Facebook friends, take a moment to create an account if you don't have one as I'd love to have the comments open to the world). As diversified a readership as follows this blog (4 known individuals ;) ), there should be plenty of great suggestions.
