Locked-in Syndrome Breakthrough

Imagine having all of your thoughts free moving and be able to think clearly, but not be able to respond through speech or movement of the body. Locked-in syndrome is just that: your thoughts and sensations are clear but you cannot respond through speech or movement.

Researchers are breaking down the barriers of neural networks and are slowly providing outlets for victims of this type of syndrome which may be caused by stroke, Lou Gehrig's Disease, Alzheimer's or any other speech debilitating disease.
